Thoracic back pain
Thoracic back pain occurs in the thoracic spine. The thoracic spine is located in the back of the chest, between the blade bones. It extends from the bottom of the neck to the beginning of the lumbar spine to the waist.
The most common cause of thoracic back pain is the inflammation of the muscles or soft tissues of the thoracic spine. This inflammation may occur suddenly for several reasons, such as a sprain or a sudden strain (in case of accidents) or in time, sitting in an incorrent position, sitting in front of a computer for a long period or due to poorly developed muscles.
One of the most common pain condition in urban Romanian population aged 20-55 years old experience is the back pain (62%).
